If you do not agree, do not use the app.---Description of ServicePlotTwist is an interactive fiction app that delivers daily story chapters. You make choices that shape the narrative. Some features require a paid subscription.---SubscriptionsPlotTwist offers auto-renewing subscription plans (Author and Editor) and one-time in-app purchases.- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price.
- You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your device Settings, tapping your name, then Subscriptions.
- Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- Prices are in USD and may vary by region. Applicable taxes may apply.---ContentStories in PlotTwist are works of fiction. All characters, events, and settings are fictional and do not represent real people, places, or events.Some story content is generated by artificial intelligence (Anthropic's Claude). AI-generated content is guided by content safety guidelines targeting a 12+ audience. We do not guarantee that AI-generated content will be identical across sessions or devices.Custom responses written by subscribers are processed by AI to generate story continuations. You are responsible for the content of your custom responses. Responses that violate our content guidelines may be filtered or redirected within the narrative.---User ConductYou agree not to:- Use the app to generate or distribute harmful, illegal, or offensive content

AI-generated content created during your gameplay is provided for your personal use within the app.You may share screenshots and share cards generated by the app on social media. Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 15, 2026OverviewPlotTwist is a daily interactive fiction app. We believe your reading experience is personal, and we've built the app to collect as little data as possible. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how it's handled.What We CollectInformation You ProvideDisplay Name (optional): If you choose to enter a name, it's used to personalize story dialogue (e.g., characters addressing you by name). This is stored only on your device. We never see it.Custom Responses (Author/Editor subscribers only): When you write your own story response, the text is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a personalized narrative continuation. Anthropic processes this text to generate a response and does not store or use it for model training. Custom response text is also stored locally on your device.Information Collected AutomaticallyAnonymous Choice Data: When you make a story choice, an anonymous count is incremented in our CloudKit database (e.g., "62% of readers chose Option A"). This data contains no user identifiers — no device ID, no account, no IP address. It's a simple counter shared across all readers.Subscription Status: Apple manages all subscription and payment processing through StoreKit. We verify your subscription status locally on your device using Apple's APIs. We do not receive or store any payment information.Information We Do NOT Collect- Email addresses

Custom story responses (Author/Editor tier only) are processed by Anthropic's Claude AI to generate narrative content. Anthropic's API processes the text and returns a response. Per Anthropic's data policy, API inputs are not used to train models and are not stored beyond the processing window. No user-identifying information is sent to Anthropic.Apple CloudKit
Anonymous choice aggregation data is stored in Apple's CloudKit public database. This data contains only story identifiers and choice counts — no personal information. Story content delivered through CloudKit contains no user data.Apple StoreKit
All subscription and in-app purchase processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive, process, or store any payment or billing information.Data Storage and SecurityAll personal data (display name, choices, reading progress) is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. No personal data is transmitted to our servers or any third party (except custom responses sent to Anthropic as described above). Anonymous choice counts in CloudKit are not linked to any user or device.Children's PrivacyPlotTwist is rated 12+ and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app does not require account creation, does not collect email addresses, and does not use advertising or tracking.Your RightsSince we don't collect personal data on our servers, there is nothing to request, correct, or delete on our end. All your data lives on your device — you can delete it by deleting the app.If you use iCloud, your SwiftData may sync across your devices through Apple's infrastructure. You can manage this through your device's iCloud settings.Changes to This PolicyIf we update this privacy policy, we'll post the new version at this URL and update the "Last updated" date.
